About Snake But Worse
Snake But Worse is the classic snake game you played on a Nokia, remade with deliberate problems. Eat food, grow longer, don't hit yourself. Standard. Except: wall segments drift around the board, the food sometimes moves when you get close, and every ten points the snake says something unhelpful.
It's a free online snake game with keyboard controls on desktop and swipe or touch-button controls on mobile, and a local high score that will be humbling.
How to Play Snake But Worse
- Use the arrow keys or WASD to steer. On mobile, swipe or tap the on-screen direction buttons.
- Eat the food to grow and score. Each food is worth more the longer you are.
- Don't hit your own tail or a wall block. Wall blocks move, so keep an eye on them.
- Food occasionally hops away when you're one tile out. Approach from the side.
- Press any direction key to restart after you die.
Tips & Tricks
- Spiral, don't zigzag. A long snake needs room to turn.
- Moving walls have a rhythm. Watch two cycles before committing to a path.
- The snake's commentary is not advice.
